Michaela Morris is an international wine writer, educator, judge and speaker based in Vancouver, Canada. She contributes to Decanter online and print magazines and Meininger’s Wine Business International as well as Canadian publications Taste and Quench.
In Canada, Michaela judges wine competitions and speaks at festivals such as Cornucopia, the Vancouver International Wine Festival and Northernlands. She also delivers staff training to sommeliers and British Columbia Liquor Stores product consultants. Abroad, Michaela judges for Decanter World Wine Awards and is a Panel Chairman for Vinitaly’s 5StarWines awards. She speaks at conferences such as Wine2Wine in Verona and Barolo’s Collisioni Festival.
Michaela holds the Wine & Spirit Education Trust’s (WSET) Diploma and is an instructor for the program in Vancouver. She was one of the first Certified Italian Wine Experts through Vinitaly International Academy (VIA) in 2015 and is currently a 2nd stage student of the Institute of Masters of Wine.
