COVID-19 Policies
The Victoria International Wine Festival policy for 2020 includes the measures we are actively taking to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). You are kindly requested to diligently follow the below rules and mandates in order to ensure a safe and healthy event space in this unique environment. It’s important that we work together to responsibly and transparently follow all health precautions and protocols. We assure you that we will always treat your private health and personal data with confidentiality.
This COVID-19 company policy is subject to changes with the introduction of additional governmental and health authority guidelines. In those circumstances, we will update you as soon as possible by email.
General hygiene:
- Frequently and thoroughly wash your hands, including after using the toilet, before and after eating, and any time you cough/sneeze into your hands. Please follow the 20-second hand-washing rule and/or use the provided sanitizers.
- Cough/sneeze into your sleeve (preferably into your elbow). If you use a tissue, please discard it properly and clean/sanitize your hands immediately afterward.
- Avoid touching your face, particularly eyes, nose, and mouth.
- If you find yourself coughing/sneezing on a regular basis, avoid close physical proximity with your attendees. Excuse yourself to stand outside.
Personal health:
- If you are exhibiting cold or flu symptoms, such as cough/sneezing/fever, or you feel poorly, request sick leave or work from home.
- If you receive a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, you cannot enter the Festival.
- In the event a ticket holder is exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms or is otherwise sick, our guide will ask them to contact us within 48 hours of the event for a full refund or transfer.
Upon Entry:
- You MUST be wearing a mask until seated. In the event, you need to use the bathroom or step outside of the venue space you must reapply your mask.
- Staff will collect data at these entry points to ensure tracking matches ticket purchase (name, phone number – matched by ID).
- Entry/exit doors must be left open until the beginning of each event. At the conclusion of each event, doors must be reopened by staff wearing gloves prior to allowing guests to exit. You must put your mask back on during this time.
- You MUST use our hand sanitizer upon entry.
- Line-ups must be sectioned off by 2-meter markers and monitored/controlled by staff.
Enforcement:
All guests and personnel are asked to adhere to all rules set in these mandates. In the event that any mandate is broken, a warning will be given by communicating with the said person in an outdoor setting. In the event that any rule cannot or is not followed, the guest or personnel member will be asked to leave and the security log will be updated with the details of the infraction, any conversation, and appropriate contact tracing information.
